Before I started writing, I would relax myself.

The second thing I did was clean up my desk, a clean environment can improve my efficiency.

I always used word document to write.

My cat always accompany with me when I was writing.

Sometimes I would also eat some snacks during writing.

I would also writing on my bed.

I always check the word count when I was writing.

My friend also study with me, which can improve our efficiency.

After I finished writing, I would lay on that green bed.

When I started writing, I always found out the deadline of this assignment and set a deadline for myself, for example, if the due day of an assignment is Thursday afternoon, I will finish before Wednesday night.
Before writing, I would create a comfortable environment for myself, and I will choose a quiet environment, like my bedroom. (1)After sit down in front of my desk, I will empty my desk, and only put a bottle of water on it, also I would take charge of my computer(2) because I was afraid of the computer shut down automatically. And then, I would read the prompt, and during reading the prompt, I will highlight the important information in the prompt, like the topic and the word limits.
So far, I was clear with what I need to write and I was also satisfied with my environment. The next step is to open a word document, and then started writing. In the first half-hour, I would always very concentrated, and keep typing, however, maybe after half an hour, my brain will go into a state of “exhaustion”, which means I did not know what to write next. The efficiency at this time will be reduced by half compared to the first half-hour. At this time, I will always go to google to search for some related information. However, my ability to self-control is bad, and if I started searching on the internet, it is easy for me to get distracted to see something that has nothing to do with my writing. It has greatly reduced my efficiency in writing. And eventually, I would realize I needed to go back to write. Before finishing writing, I will read my whole article, during reading, I would always find a lot of grammar mistakes, and some sentences I even did not what the meaning of them.
The entire article will take about two hours to complete, and if I did not pause and go online to see some useless information, the duration can shorten by a quarter. To make up this mistake, I think I need to spend some time planning what I need to write, the structure of the article, and what I will write for each paragraph. By doing this, I will know what I will write, and do not go to the internet to search for more information.
In all, my writing process may not very special, but I will keep my good habit, and try my best to correct some bad habits.

In the last series, I have introduce what people need to care when they raise the pet dog. They need to pay attention on the training of the dog, also they need to take care of the diet of the pets.  Nowadays, accompanied to the development the economy, people’s income are increasing, and they are willing to pay more money on their pets. However, the school for dog is still an expensive cost, some people are hesitant about this decision. Therefore, there is a doubt rises: is it possible to spend a large amount money to let them go to the dog school? Someone think it is possible because the school can provide dogs with health food, and professional training, and also has dog hospital in it, which can save the host lots of time. Nonetheless, some people hold an opposite idea, they think it is too expensive to attend the school. 

However, in my opinion, although the dog school is convenient and professionalI, I still think it is not necessary for people to send their pet to the school, and there are many reasons. In the following, I will discuss two main reasons that I think it is not possible for people to send their pets to school.

First of all, if you sent your pet dog to school, which means you will spend less time on your pet. The reason of most people who raise dog is that they want to stay with their dog because they think stay with dog can make them happy. What’s more, almost all of the host want to have a good relationship with their pets, and they want to be close to the dogs. Therefore, it is a good chance to stay with your pet, and train them, to let them listen to your instructions. After dinner, you can also take your dog for a walk, it is also benefit your health. In addition,  the dog is cute, and they can help you not feel lonely, why you did not keep them beside you. 

However, some people think training the dog is a difficult thing, and they also want an obedient dog. So they send their pet dog to the school. The school will give the pet dogs professional training, and the school can give them good diet. It sounds convenient and reassuring. But at the same time, you will lose the meaning of raising the dog. The point of raising a dog is to train him and grow up with him. Although send them to school is a convenient method, it still not necessary to send them to school. 

In addition, not only you will spent less time on your pet, but also it is expensive if you send them to school. As we all know, the school for dog is a new industry. And only a few people will send their pets to the school. Therefore, the cost of a dog school is very high, they need a site, they need professional staff, and this is a lot of expense. Why not save the money of sending your dog to school, and buy more nutritious food for it, or buy some toys which is used to develop IQ? I have searched on the internet, there are different kinds of training school, and the cheapest is $600 a week in Davis, and the most important one is about $1200. What an exaggerated number! This is a worthless behavior because you not only waste money, but also lose the opportunity to spend time with your dog.

In conclusion, from my point, I think it is not necessary to send the pet dogs to dog school. They need your accompany, your love is the best method of training!

Nowadays, many people started raising pet dogs. For me, I also raised dogs in my home, and there are lots of interest thing about pet dogs I want to share with you. However, in the last three blogs, I have written the training of the dogs and some ethical questions like sterilization of the dog. And in this issue series, I want to talk more about the background of raising the pet dog, like the ways of raising them, the reason of people want to raise them and the usage of the dogs.  

In recent years, people treat their dog more carefully. Because of the rapid development of the economic, the qualities of the people’s lives become higher, and they are willing to spend more money on raising their pet dogs. Taking me as an example, I have a collie border at home, and I always bought him different kinds of dog food. And many of the dog food are imported from the foreign country. Although the price of these dog food are higher than the other, I still hope that my dog ​​can taste different foods and get more rich nutrition, and I was paying more attention on the nutrition on their dogs but not only whether they are full or not. Also, some food is harmful to the dogs, there is a professional article written by an expert, it said that the pet dogs cannot digest carbohydrates, and it said: to meet their energy needs, dogs have evolved to use proteins and fats as their primary energy sources, but they can also use carbohydrates for energy. The fact that the dog’s digestive system produces enzymes that are specific for digesting starches and sugars shows that they are capable of digesting carbohydrates. However, complex carbohydrates such as grains are more digestible when they are cooked. Keeping healthy is really important to the dogs, as we all know, the cost of the pet hospital is high, as soon as the pet is sick, the owner will spend a lot to take them to the hospital for examinations. Therefore, before we feed the food to our dogs, we need find out whether the food is benefit to the dogs or not.

          Besides the diet of the dogs, people also focus on the training of their pet dogs. A well-trained dog can listen to its owner and will not bite or walk around without instruction. Also, they will know when to bark, which means they will only bark to someone they are not familiar with. My pet also listened to my instruction after I gave him a professional training. Every week, I sent him to the school only for training the dog. And I can feel the big change of my pet dog. Before, he often walks around with I walk him and doesn’t follow instructions when eating. However, after I sent him to school for several months, I discover that it can hear my voice, if I asked it to sit down, he can do it immediately. And at night, he would nor bark, who is quiet and did not disturb me. There is a website said that training can bring a positive relationship between the host and the pet. Also, it can teach the dog’s the life skills. It said: every dog needs to learn how to live successfully in a home environment. Domestic dogs might seem to have an easy life compared to their wild counterparts, but living in a human world comes with certain unique pressures. In addition, training can make the dogs more loyal, which means it can help your dog to make right decisions and it can understand what you want to make you happy, therefore, you can your dog can increase the bonding.

Also, there are many reasons for people to raise the dogs. The dogs can make their host be happy and can make them not feel lonely. There is a kind of dog named service dog, they can guide people do a lot of things, for example, they can guide the blinds to cross the road, also, they can heal depressed people through their personalities. Before being a guide, the dogs needs lots of training, from the website named “get a guide dog”, it said that: Guide Dog Foundation dogs learn how to lead a person in a straight line, find and follow a clear path, maneuver around obstacles (both on the ground and overhead), and stop at changes in elevation, such as curbs and stairs.  They are also trained to be extremely well behaved when in public places. Therefore, there are lots of processes and standards to be a guide dog.

People always spend much times to treat their dogs, and there is a doubt question raised: is it possible to spend a large amount money to let them go to the dog school? Someone think it is possible because the school can provide dogs with health food, and professional training, and also has dog hospital in it. Nonetheless, some one holds an opposite idea, they think it is too expensive and the host can training their pets at home.

For today’s blog, the topic is still about how to raise a pet dog. Nowadays, accompanied by people of higher income, people who are raising pets are willing to pay more attention to and care more about the health of their dogs. Some hosts in big cities can spend lots of money on their pet dogs, and they always give their dogs high quality of life, for example, they not only feed dogs with dog food but also feed a variety of nutrients. What’s more, many people decided to do sterilization on their pets because some of them think it is benefit to dogs health. But someone holds different ideas. Therefore, there is a doubt raised: is it ethical for the human to do sterilization on their pets?

First, people think every life have the right to reproductive and human have no reason to deprive their rights. Many people hold the idea that does sterilization can reduce incidence. I also cared about this question, and I asked my schoolmate who is graduated from the major of animal science at UC Davis. She sends me an article about the dogs’ disease. It states that dogs have a very small chance of getting cancer. Although it is true for the dog who did this surgery can lower the probability of cancer, it is still the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Take me as an example, my pet also did the surgery, and due to excessive hormone secretion, he is obese, and it has to diet. Therefore, you need to think seriously before you decided to do sterilization. It can benefit dogs but it also harmful to pets.

Second, some people think do the sterilization can make the dog tender, and reduce some bad behavior. Just like the article said, it can effectively reduce the disease. For me, as a host, I want my dog to be healthy, and I didn’t read many articles at that time, it was just that the pet hospital recommended sterilization, so I decided him to do this surgery. And he had obvious behavioral changes after surgery. For example, it did not use a pillow as a toy, nor does he provoke other dogs. I agree with the benefits of the surgery, but my dog not only has an obesity problem but also lost one of its organs. Therefore, please be foresight when you make a decision.

In my last blog, I have written the dog’s training, dog’s diet and dog’s disease. And some of my readers said that they are not so detailed and they suggested me to talked about one topic a time. Therefore, in this blog, I will discuss whether the pet dog should be euthanized. Nowadays, many people are willing to spend a lot of money and time on their pets because pets can always bring people lots of happiness and people are paying more attention on their pets. And there is a doubt question arise: Is it ethical to let the pets be euthanized?

Some people think the euthanasia is an ethical decision, according to the article called “When is it ethical to euthanize your pet?” It talks about the process of people were beginning to accept animal euthanasia. In1979, there is a case that the dog owner are grief when their pet dog died, after than, the people initiated others to spend much money on animal treatments. The writer also give some suggestions to help people make decisions of their pets. He asked us to think from an animal perspective: does the animal get excited about receiving a treat? I totally agree with the statement of the writer. No life wants painful treatment. Instead of leaving them alive and suffering, it is better to let them leave peacefully. After reading my blog, if you are the pet owner, do you have concerned this question,  and do you have answer in your hart?

In the other hand, someone think it is unethical to let their pet euthanize. They thought humans deprive the right of pets to live. There is a blog said that: If euthanasia is justified at all, it is justified only if we have the patient’s competent consent. What’s more, he said the pet dogs are incapable of giving competent consent; so if euthanasia is justified at all, it is definitely not justified in the case of pets. However, I disagree with the author’s view. First, dogs don’t speak human language, they can’t communicate with people. And it is impossible to let the dogs make decisions themselves. Second, the pet dog has always been regarded as the owner’s property after the owner have bought them. The host can make decision for their pets. Therefore, whether it wants to be euthanized can be left to the owner to decide.  In a word, euthanasia cannot be defined as immoral although it is cruel.

Different people may have different views of euthanasia, and they all have their own reasons, but the goal of them are the same, which is they do not want their pets to regret when the dogs are dying.

I was very interested in the pet dogs, and I have two pets at home, which are Border Collie and Samoyed. Both of them are 13 years old, which means they accompanied me to grow up. I established a closed relationship with my pet dogs. Dogs are an animal that makes people feel very dependent, and people can also be dependent on dogs. Overall, I have lots of experiences of raising the Border Collies, and I want to share the dog training, dog disease, and dog diet with you.An important thing about border collies is the effort required to train one. Since they have so much energy and intensity, they can sometimes require their owners to hire professional trainers. There is a my favorite blogger names Danielle, who did not own a border collie until she was 31, and I was surprised at how much she came to love the breed. In her blog, she writes that border collies need positive reinforcement to be the good dogs we all know they can be Singer. This mostly comes from the fact that border collies were bred to be out and about all the time, hunting animals and guarding their farmlands. Most of the behavioral issues with border collies come from their need for an outlet for their energy, as well as their not being used to indoor lives.

There are a few inherited diseases in border collies that are worth mentioning, since any caring border collie owner should be on the lookout for them in their pet. In a professional dog raising website called animal lab, border collies were bred for intelligence, athleticism, and herding, but they can also have eye problems, hip dysplasia, and epilepsy. These diseases are generally genetic, meaning that they will tend to be contracted by the border collie if the collie’s parents or grandparents had it. When it comes to diet, a potential border collie owner should know that they need a lot of food on a regular basis. This is partially based on their need for exercise. Border collies were bred to run around all the time herding sheep on their farms, so your dog will most likely want to burn off all the calories from his meals outside. However, the problems can arise when you do not give your border collie enough exercise. If you do not let your dog out enough to run around and play, the high appetite of a border collie could become an issue. If you notice that your dog is gaining weight, you should try to give him more time outside. A border collie will generally need to eat more than an average dog, so your first response should probably be to get them out to run around. This will return their metabolisms to normal and give your dog the happy, healthy life he deserves. As you can see, border collies have a few points about them that are high maintenance, but otherwise they are very rewarding as pets!
